Working in SCA
We operate in close communication with both the resident and external care providers with the goal of delivering the care and support needed by each resident in order to achieve their goals and to maximize independent daily living. All members of our staff have extensive experience in working with disabled persons, and/or have received extensive training and coaching. We conduct training to teach awareness, sensitivity to disabilities and other considerations that are specifically relevant to their practice area. We assign a manager who acts as the team leader with final responsibility and accountability for monitoring progress and ensuring that each resident's care plan is carried out. We may change the team leader from time to time if we feel that is in the best interests of the resident, largely depending on how their needs change over time. The team assigned to each resident meets periodically to review progress, assess whether any changes are needed to such resident's care plan, discuss any changes in health status or new conditions, and any other important updates that should be shared with the team.
